If you want to see the differences in how these look in game and you have MCCC, I recommend using the MCCC Seasons mailbox cheat to change the weather in your game to test each of these and see which you like. weather_event/weather_Snow_Heavy_Freezing.weather_event/weather_Snow_Light_Freezing.4, there are 5 different weather event tuning files that produce snow:
